This Young Man of mine

He's 5 months now.
Five whole months.
And a whole new experience all together.

I am a repeat offender and I thought that Mothering would come easily this time round
Afterall, I've been at it for a while now.

But no, this young lad insists on being his own man.
His first word is 'Awo' in response to hello

He's my first baby to reject dairy milk.
I know he shouldn't be doing dairy before 1 year of age
but Formula is not easy on the pocket.
Single parenting....hmmm

So, Micah Adam....I love the sound of that.
You are YOU.

We all love you.
Your sisters hate it when you cry.
They still treat you as their favorite toy.

For Real?  I went to bed last night and woke up this morning with all plans of having a productively productive day. I mean I worked through the first ten pages of my proposed funding proposal (in my bed and in my head of course)... IKR. (very productive me) Now this morning i unfortunately bumped into my neighbor. Like for Real? So, its been a few weeks of weird revelations in my life. New friends made (ok, acquaintances) Some people lost (some died and some passed away from the list of acquaintances) and hey, who knew!! I went to Club!! Oh yes I did. Away from that, I got baptized- Oh yes I did. I so did. Its the ninth day of December, and the year is 2013- everyone is excited about the impending holidays- oh how we love Christmas. Holiday makers all over town, new rides on the roads- which come with new road accidents!! #sigh And on and on. But wait, did you hear that Arsenal FC is leading the Premier league table? Like for real? Many years of losses, I had given up on supporting any football team- local or international. And now, Arsenal is leading the league!! OM Gosh! Maybe I deserve

They often say: 'what goes around, comes around' Are they right, or are they right!!!!!!!! am so infatuated with this guy, and many a time, I have actually thought, he's the one. I don't know why i can't see that am a just a means to an end. and am not the end. Well, it will not help beating myself about it, but indulge me. PLEASE!!! well, yet again, am being played, and am so gullible it hurts, all he has to do is smile. yes, we are talking Mr. Lover again. But this time, maybe I deserve it. I am seeing someone else who is madly in love with me and seeing Mr.Lover. So what goes around Sure does come around. want to cry so badly it hurts. But am not gonna do anything stupid this time. will let it pass. and life will move on. Won't even mention a word, let alone refer to it. "ndi ne Jajja wange, ne Rinah" \Those words hurt, like hell.
